Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

We went for a walk downtown this week… it is one mile from Egg Harbor Lodge to the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and we went just a bit farther to the north end of the village. Here is the first part of our video of Egg Harbor.

Door County July 4th

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

It has been so crazy I haven’t had time to blog… that is going to change.  The fireworks in Egg Harbor were awesome… and of course the parade was great… lots of cool floats.  Mark pulled our float in behind Katie Sawyer, who is this years Miss Door County.  Our float’s theme was “What Happens at Egg Harbor Lodge… Stays At Egg Harbor Lodge.  We basically used the theme from last year.  I never said we were original.  Some guy downtown sprayed us with an actual garden hose while we were at a dead stop, then a different guy jumped in with us… not cool but the parade watchers loved it.  Oh well, I guess if you ride through a parade in a hot tub you need to be ready for anything.  Here’s the video…

Egg Harbor’s Chick weekend May 15 & 16 2009

Saturday, February 14th, 2009

The Egg Harbor Business Association has decided to promote a girl’s getaway weekend May 15 and 16.  The ladies weekend will take the place of the Lighthouse Walk weekend which has moved to June 12 and 13. While the complete details are still in the making it sounds like there will be a brunch/fashion show, shopping specials and even a karaoke night. I am sure many more things are being planned as the Egg Harbor Business Association is pioneer in creating fun weekends… look at  Egg Harbor’s Pumpkin Patch Festival. Many of the festivities will be held at the Landmark Resort in Egg Harbor. Not to be left out of the fun, Egg Harbor Lodge will not only have it’s famous stay two nights get the third night free special  but we will have a complementary Happy Hour for our guests on Friday and Saturday evening featuring our famous Sawyeritas (Margaritas), Coronas, non-alcoholic beverages and Mexican Snacks.  If the weather is nice we will have it on our terrace overlooking beautiful Green Bay waters.

The view from Egg Harbor Lodge

We’ll have it indoors if the weather is not cooperating.  All the shops and boutiques in Egg Harbor (and Door County for that matter) will be open.  Many will have their own creative opportunities for the ladies.  So girls, sleep in late, do a little lunch in the village then take a stroll and check out the shops. Afterwards, return to your home away from home at Egg Harbor Lodge for cocktail hour and either dine on your deck or head back to the village for a little dinner.  And guys, don’t be discouraged, men are always welcome in Door County
