Fall Fest this weekend
Wednesday, October 15th, 2008Door County’s other big festival is being held in Sister Bay this weekend. We haven’t been to Fall Fest in a few years but we may take a ride this weekend. I copied this from Sister Bay’s website.
Fall Fest – Friday through Sunday, October 17 – 19
The “Granddaddy” of all Door County festivals, 2008 will mark the 63rd annual Fall Fest in Sister Bay. What began as a celebration and reward for the Door County tourist workers after a busy tourist season has evolved into one of the largest weekend celebrations on the peninsula! A parade, arts & crafts fair, food booths, live entertainment, and children’s activities make this a “must-do” weekend, but the real fun lies in one of the Fest’s oldest traditions – the famed Ping-Pong Ball Drop. An astonishing 10,000 Ping-Pong balls are dropped from the sky on Sunday afternoon, with a one in ten chance of winning a prize from a participating Sister Bay business!
